About PAMA
Founded in 1921, PAMA (Publishers Advertising and Marketing Association) is a professional network connecting experts in publishing, media, and marketing.
Our Mission
We amplify how books are discovered, discussed, and remembered — by connecting leaders, sharing insights, and sparking ideas that drive the industry forward.
What We Do
Based in New York, PAMA organizes events, panels, and creative spaces for publishers, marketers, editors, and storytellers. Whether you’re launching a debut novel or refreshing a backlist, PAMA is where ideas meet execution.
Our Belief
We believe in the strategy behind every story.

Quality proven over time
Founded in 1921 as a luncheon club for publishing’s publicity and promotion pros, PAMA evolved alongside the industry’s shifts — splitting into new associations and adapting to changing roles. But its core mission has always stayed the same:

Educate
Empowering professionals with skills and tools to grow in publishing.

Observe
Spotting and analyzing industry trends to stay ahead of the curve.

Foster
Promoting collaboration and raising standards to inspire excellence.
Meet the Board Behind the Books
From strategy to storytelling — meet the leaders who make it all possible.
